so being the retard that i am, i get all excited about the idea of a new year and what that means and all. and then i start thinking "so, you need some cheezy new year's resolution to finally bring about some changes in your life?" and then i start thinking, "ya, that's right! why do i need to use the fact that it is a new year (which really means nothing) to be my inspiration to make some changes in my life??!! isn't the fact that i am chubby and lazy inspiration enough to make me want to change things no matter what time of year it is?" then i start getting excited again about how much cooler the idea of always making new resolutions is rather than once a year. i wish there was a such thing as new month resolutions so that we would be reminded once a month to find something new that we want to work harder on or change. that would be cool!
so in the standard of hipocracy which i always try to adhere to... this is my new years resolution, (start humming 'pomp and circumstance' now)... to always accept and look forward to change with big open arms. to persue change and try to always have new resolutions. to start flipping off people more often. to give farting in front of girls another try. to stop pretending that i am rich so that i can make fun of poor people.

it is blowing my mind that we all commented about how I want to change and I want to care about others more than ME. funny thing is even in saying that we are still thinking about ourselves!!! what the hell???

that is totally true, but i don't think it is always a negative thing. obviously if you decide that you need to think of others before yourself it usually roots from seeing something in yourself that you want to change. technically that means that the very first person that you were thinking about, and the whole inspiration for your "new" decision began with yourself and so it is "self-centered." i don't even know if you meant to say that it was a negative thing but it is really mind blowing to think about. then again sometimes you want to be more loving and kind to others just because you think that the others could use a bit more love and kindness. if that is the case then you probably don't have to make any changes at all.

i would say my resolution would be to think you're hilarious and wildly talented but, truth be told, i already do.
p.s. we need to stop talking via the web and just hang out. we are roomies after all.
