ontheroad

so life has been so crazy and amazing and odd lately. i have been on the road with the colour for over a week now. we've played in tucson, pheonix, austin, and houston so far. right now we are back in whittier for a few so. cal shows and then come tuesday we are heading north! which i cannot wait for. there are already so many crazy stories to tell. i have seen and done things that i never thought i would in my wildest dreams. lately the only way i have any clue what time it is is to look at the sun and the other day i actually had to ask someone what state we were in. they thought i was crazy but it was kind of a cool feeling not really knowing. this trip has been filled with all kinds of adventures from firework fights in new mexico, spending three days relaxing and being treated like kings at a mansion in arizona, a seventeen hour drive through a partial snow storm in texas, and hanging out backstage at the biggest PGA golf tour party in the US. we met a guy named wiley in texas who got us all the new castle and red bull that we could ever dream of. he was the guy at that venue who's job is to take care of all the bands and get them whatever they want. he actually told us that next time we come through there, if we are the headlining band, that he could score us some cocaine and hookers if we wanted! so of course we are going to hit him up on that! my favorite town so far was austin. it is the live music capital of the nation and it was such an amazing city. everyone there is so excited about music and art. it has also been amazing being with all of the guys. everyday we pray together and to a group devotional out of purpose driven life. this is what i needed and have dreamed of for so long and i am enjoying and trying to suck the marrow out of every single second. i have met so many amazing people. the two bands that we are on tour with is The Elected and Eisley. the elected is a side project of the guitar player for rilo kiley (who was also the guy from salute your shorts and boy meets world!) he is kind of creepy but everyone else in the band is so cool and nice. eisley is pretty much a big family, literally. their mother, kim, works the merch booth, their father boyd is the tour manager, and then stacy, sherry, and chantel are the three sisters that sing. the drummer is also a brother and the bass player is a friend of their. he is also a really cool guy and an amazing bass player. the family is pretty close and they are all believers too. they kind of keep to themselves but every once in a while we get to have really cool conversations with them. we have plans to kidnap the bass player, john, and take him out on the town when we get to seattle. so that is a little taste of how things have been. i appologize if i have not kept in touch with you guys so well and i will try to get better at it. i miss you all so much and love you all more than i can express. i will try my hardest to keep updates on here and hopefully some pictures too. i love you guys!!!
