the new intellectuals

there has been a bit of a lull in the communications department lately. i partly blame that on the fact that i don't have a computer and i can only get on my roommates if he is around and in a good mood..... that last post was dramatic and dumb. it was true at the time i guess, but now, at 6:52 in the morning it just seems kind of embarrassing.
we played a small art show last night with a band that i am falling in love with more and more and you all should make it a point to check them out. they are friends of ours called 'Matt Death and the New Intellectuals' the singer is the old singer of that tooth and nail band Havalina.
two days ago nate and dave and i saw a movie that has really effected me in a strange way, a good way, but just strange because it is nothing super deep. it is just a good romantic comedy based on the beauty of family and love. but it definitely struck a chord with me. so this is what i'd like you to do, the next day that it feels a bit colder than the rest (rosie and nate might have to use a little imagination on this one) go grab an apple cider or something gay like that and make it a point to go see this movie. i always like to go to the movies alone but i would say that this is a good one to go to with a friend. after we saw it, nate and i were standing outside waiting for dave to come out and i just had this uncontrollable urge to hug him. it was one of those things that kind of springs up on you and in a fit of excitement you just spasm and, with a crazed smile on your face, attack the person so fast that they barley have time to lift their arms up to hug back or just block you. the movie was 'dan in real life' btw good one, watch it. Love you guys

Will do. Regarding your title, I recently heard someone say that garlic is the ketchup of intellectuals. I thought that was good.

I think I enjoyed the movie. i walked out in a contemplative mood, very quiet, almost somber. If i feel affected by a film, if it causes me to think sbout life, then I think its good.
