have you guys ever seen that movie 'idiocracy' ?
so i would like to do a bit of gripping if i may. i think it is healthy from time to time and i know that you will probably either agree with me or offer up enlightening and differing points of view that will help to broaden my inner horizons...
well, it is just that i am not ready for the heat yet. i have a great room for waking up in. my room mate nate and i are on pretty differing schedules. when i get off late at night from the coffee shop, he is already in bed because he has to get up and leave for work everyday around seven. so i have been cherishing my mornings waking up in my quiet dark and cool room. i have this yellowish material for drapes and it creates the perfect kind of light to wake up to in the mornings. i find that i have probably been enjoying this a little too much because i have been having a hard time getting up at a respectable hour everyday. so i have created this environment in my room that kind of simulates waking up to a chilly autumn morning. if i could have it my way, i think i would live on a planet that has only the fall season all year. it is just right in every way.
the problem arises when i get up and walk out into the house and get nailed with this stuffy heat! i live less than 100 yards from the beach dammit! this is not what it is supposed to be like. i've even spent whole days locked up in my dark room reading and playing guitar, pretending that the weather is too nasty to go out when it is actually a beautiful and hot day. it really kind of depresses me friends.
i think that lately i have just really been growing sick and tired of people. today i had a great time going to see 'iron man' with tim and matt miller. it is a pretty sweet-ass movie by the way and i love both of those guys so it was a fun day. the people in the theater were driving me crazy though. they was this dumb little shit-head kid right behind us yelling out the most annoying shit the whole time. later on we found out that the apple didn't fall too far when his mexi-trash dad started pipping in as well. i was truly livid. after the movie we went to the bathroom and the second you walk in you are hit with this overpowering stench of poo, pee, b.o., and 'guy' smell all mixed in. the floor is covered with piss and toilet paper and nobody seems to notice or care. when grown men are forced to be in vulnerable situations in close quarters like that we all just kind of act like cattle. leaving the theater i couldn't help think of this movie 'idiocracy' where luke willson's character, who is painfully average, is the guinea pig for a government hibernation experiment. he is forgotten and does not wake up until 500 years in the future where everyone has de-evolved and he is suddenly the smartest man alive.
it is a horridly cheesy movie but it makes a scarily logical point. it just seems that people are devolving. there are endless examples i could give to prove this point but i don't feel the need to right? i am starting to really become disappointed with people in general these days and that only makes me want to move out to nowhere and start a farm and be self-sustained even more. it is fuel for my hermit fires!

i think a life of near solitude is the ticket. Society is on a rapid decline. I say we all jump ship before it's too late.
hey friend. i saw that movie. i thought it was ridiculous.... i agree with your point about it. i have been a bit blue about the general population myself lately as well.
hope all is well.
