this is my new friend-cactus. i named it smoochie because that is ironic which means that it's funny. i'm pretty stoked because i bought it with a specific home already in mind and, yes, it looks bitchen' in it's new place. the only problem is my damn bad luck with all plants in general. i've only had the blasted thing for a day and it's already getting all wrinkly. i'm like a lesbian who can't bro-nod and keep my thumbs in my belt loops at the same time. the expression i have on my face in the picture is just because we don't know eachother very well yet so it's kind of awkward when it's just us alone in the room together and i already gave it wrinkles... i want to be so good at it and it should be something that is more than natural, it should be brainless! but for some reason i'm a naturally bad plarent (plant/parent.) some of you might remeber last summer when i "got all into herbs." I intended on having this insane herb garden and spent all this money and just had a shitload of herb plants and somehow turned it into a herb concentration camp instead of nursery. Literally every plant died. i put so much love and kindness into those little assholes. I even tried talking to some of them but for a guy it is a bit harder to talk to plants than girls. guys just don't know what to say... i looked around to make sure none of my bro-bro's were chillin curb-side, and said "oh... hey... so, like grow ok?.. i'll be inside."
this is not the end though, smoochie will live and live a good, wrinkle free life in the bookshelf if it kills me! anyway, i would gladly welcome any ideas/encouragement for caring for my new cactild(cactus/child).
in other news...
danielle and i are going to a wedding in vegas next weekend and i rented a car and everything. and you guys thought i'd never grow up!
