today

today was just a day. it was a passing of time. so i tried to make a little money, make a few people laugh and express to a friend who is suffering how much i loved them. I talked about and compared ukuleles with my uncle over coffee. i worked on staining my bench and it is going to be everything i hoped it would be. I toasted a bagel and served it with butter and mayonnaise to a married couple who both had down's syndrome and had learned to take care of and watch out for each other and it made me want to cry and smile at the same time. today was nothing spectacular by any means and i am OK with that and i will go to bed early on a Saturday night looking forward to a deep sleep without fear, stress or sorrow.
