ok. so that post before the last was a rough one. i was pretty bummed because doing this regularly is already something i freak out about and it just kinda threw me over the edge. we've be on another one of these short radio promo tours that we've grown so accustomed to lately, because it is the only traveling we really have done in the last year. not complaining at all. didn't mean for it to come off that way, moving on. we are in ummm detroit? right now. i am in the hotel lobby trying to get as much as i can in before the rest of the guys walk down with all of their bags and things to go. the shows have been going beautifully. we started in columbus and will end up in flint michigan. basically all we are doing is going to the areas where the radio stations that play our stuff have had a good response to kind of follow up and keep things moving in a good direction. then the day of the show we come to town and go in to the radio station and play for them. these little performances have been different everytime. some of them are where people can call in and get a chance to come in and see us play a semi acoustic set. then there are some where it is just dave and wyatt in a little room. then the shows get advertised all week on the radio station. it is really amazing to see people in the middle of america come out to the show because they heard us on the radio. i think that we've already had and will conitinue to have a better response out here than in california. we got to play a few shows with our good friends the palor mob from new jersey which is always a joy and an honor. those guys are incredible musicians and people. so i have to write about the show we played last night. it was at this bar/venue called the machine shop. the font was like how the west coast choppers font looks. the station putting on the show was a hard rock station i think. the thing about some of these radio shows is that the kind of bands that play are always as ecclectic and the bands that show up on these stations' play list. which explains why a band like us were the main support last night for a band called three days grace.http://designermagazine.tripod.com/ThreeDaysGracePIC1.jpg
so anyways, this place instantly sold out. i guess these guys are pretty huge. they did have two tour buses with trailers. so there were about 650 kids (metal bros and metal ho's) and this place was a madhouse. shoot the guys just showed up i gotta go but i will get back later.
