turkey day at g-ma's

I don't know if there is any better way to describe what a visit to my Grandma Pierce's "ranch" in yucca valley is like other than this little photographic tour of her rock/cactus-garden/trinket collection. so here's what you do, eat about 10 pounds of thanksgiving dinner, down two beers and three glasses of scotch and put on your favorite merle haggard record and let's take a walk...

only the most perfectly placed items can come together to look so wonderfully random

...oh you didn't know that plastic-mardi gras-flamingos are the perfect accompaniment for a christmas-memory tomstone?

all crafty super heros need a side kick and my grandma is no exception
just keep looking... i swear it will wink at you...
I feel like the sun-bleached pink/purple bmx really ties it all together... what? you can't see it? look closely, it's right there in the foreground on the left...

genius? yes.

artist: uncle mike

needless to say, my grandma is genius and can still kick some seriously crafty-ass.
