they're darkening the shinning star of my soul!
so today i have to drive up to torrance to take my barista test at a peet's coffee up there. i guess my boss set up some special class for me so that i could go through my training faster because they need more managers at the store. i have been so stressed about finding a car to drive up and spend six hours of my life to show someone that i know how to make coffee drinks. there is not a lot that i am good at but making espresso drinks is definitely one. so i sit here and wonder, is this really worth it? then when i realize that it obviously isn't. so THEN i wonder, how in the hell did i ever convince myself that working for a corporation would be a good idea....AGAIN! i have always had a hard time with this kind of stuff. it has had a serious effect on my growing into an adult as well. i am starting to wonder if working at a gay coffee shop that i can walk to where everyone loved me and the managers wanted me to run the shop isn't so bad after all. they were sensible about the whole thing. they said,'make me a latte' i made them a kick ass latte and they said, "good! you know how, here are the keys, i'll be in Jamaica' they didn't say 'oh you HAVE to do this special two week training and then go to this class cause i set it up just for you and the person is doing it as a special favor to me. i want to be able to be my best wherever i go, but friends, the moral of this story is, there are places that we can shine a lot brighter than others even if we are bright everywhere we go. i need to get this tile shiz with matt happenin! if anybody needs tile work done give us a call!
